Plant-based diet pairs best with juicing

As a Certified Juice Therapist, I can tell you that eating leafy greens and other plants can be part of a very healthy diet. For optimum health, many nutrition experts suggest combining a plant-based diet with juicing.

You might ask “Is juicing healthy?” Juice therapy can aide in the fight of diseases caused from animal-based products. “Whether you’re considering eating less meat or giving it up entirely, the benefits are clear: less risk of disease and improved health and well-being,” the AHA says.  “Specifically, less meat decreases the risk of heart disease, stroke, obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, and many cancers.”

To make your plant-based diet the healthiest it can be, choose nutrient dense plant-based foods.  Going plant-based is easier than ever these days. You can start off by trying #MeatlessMonday then start searching out enticing plant-based recipes that are easy to prepare.  Choose ingredients and flavors that you know your family will enjoy.

Flavors abound with fruit. Mangoes, strawberries, apples, bananas, and grapes tantalize with sweetness while dousing your body with vitamins. Choosing a variety of fruits supplies multiple vitamins and nutrients.  For example, one kiwi adds vitamin C, K, E, folate, and potassium.  Grapes offer vitamin C, plus beta-carotene, quercetin, lutein, lycopene, and other antioxidants.

One easy way to get more of these fruits and plants in your diet is through juicing. Juicing complements a plant-based diet as it adds a variety of nutrients to an already healthy diet. And no cooking needed!

Juicing helps you absorb all the nutrients from fruits and vegetables. A plant-based diet helps you smooth your transition to juicing, especially when embarking on a juice cleanse.
